The Norwegian Agriculture Agency (Landbruksdirektoratet) has selected Netcompany to maintain and further develop a portfolio of more than 50 systems under a new framework agreement. The agreement runs for three years with an option to extend for a further three years, and has an estimated value of NOK 30-45 million per year.
The Norwegian Agriculture Agency has selected Netcompany to maintain and further develop the Agency’s entire portfolio of digital systems. Netcompany will gradually take over responsibility from the current suppliers and by the end of 2026 Netcompany will assume full delivery responsibility under the agreement, which also includes technical and strategic advisory services as well as quality assurance of deliveries from third parties.
The Agency’s systems support the administration of various support and subsidy schemes within agriculture, forestry, reindeer husbandry and wildlife subject to hunting. The systems are used by around 40,000 farms, 170,000 hunters, 120,000 forest owners, 3,000 reindeer herders and 1,500 caseworkers across the Agency and other public bodies.
Netcompany has worked with the Norwegian Agriculture Agency since 2022, helping develop digital solutions for the reindeer husbandry industry, including subsidy applications, case processing and registration of slaughter data. Under the new framework agreement, Netcompany takes on a broader responsibility for modernisation, further development and ongoing maintenance across the Agency’s system portfolio.

The agreement adds to Netcompany’s growing role in the digitalisation of the Norwegian public sector and critical infrastructure. The company already works with a number of Norwegian government bodies and municipalities on digitalisation, and also has several partnerships within Norwegian rail and airport operations.
