Job Description

Are you ready to discover the role of a Local System Administrator in Netcompany?


As a Local System Administrator, you will:

 

  • Administer systems and applications with local operational impact, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
  • Install, configure, and maintain system components and server software.
  • Perform incident management, including analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware and software issues; coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors as needed.
  • Integrate servers into the local IT environment and maintain up-to-date documentation, including server procedures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within a Windows environment.
  • Monitor server performance and oversee the administration of local file and print services.
  • Execute backup and restore operations for user data and system configurations, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor and manage network resources, including shared drives, printers, and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint. 
Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration.
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken), with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT hardware and software in enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SharePoint, and network storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in IT management and monitoring tools, with the ability to work independently.
  • Solid understanding of user administration, system security, and access control.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation. 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification is a strong asset.
