Job Description
Our Data Practice delivers exciting projects through data-driven, digital transformation for our customers. We support from pre-sales through to delivery and have a strong focus on solving real customer challenges and deriving true customer benefit with the ultimate goal of benefiting society and driving meaningful digital and cultural change.
Our Managing Data Architects will support Data & AI practice leadership, delivering tangible business value for customers and coach junior practice members through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders to execute discoveries and understand their needs and develop data-driven solutions that are scalable, highly performant and available.
Communicate data architecture and findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely
Apply data architecture design to solve complex problems such as design and implement enterprise-wide data architectures to aligns with business and technology strategies.
Develop data strategies, and governance architectures, including technology, people and process perspectives
Develop AI/ML solutions to deliver business value into customer organisations
Develop data models (conceptual, logical, and physical)
Data integration with other systems and platforms through APIs and middleware which could include integrating data from multiple sources, including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Contribute to the productionisation of new data capabilities / solutions through Discovery, prototyping, requirements setting and implementation
Qualifications
Must be eligible for Security Clearance
8+ years of Data experience with at least 3+ years of relevant data architecture experience within the Public and/or Private sectors
Lead and guide implementation teams and coaching junior team members through strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication. Contribute to wider Data Practice through supporting pre-sales and generating offers and accelerators
Proactive, self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, committed to continuous learning and development, plus knowledge sharing
Contribute to wider industry standards in data i.e. open-source application development, or participate in data architecture forums, or professional certifications in data architecture
Experience of designing and supporting implementation of Data Platforms (Azure, AWS, Informatica, etc.,)
Experience in end-to-end design and implementation of AI/ML in productionised environments
Implementation knowledge of data modelling techniques such as Kimball Dimensional, Star Schema, Data Vault and Graph Model
Experience with Cloud Data and DataOps Solutions especially with Azure or AWS stack, with proficiency in event streaming architectures such as Azure Event Hubs or Apache Kafka
Experience with working with Big Data Solutions like Hadoop, Cassandra
Experience in Information Management and Data Architecture with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 22701, or industry specific frameworks
Exposure to working with Frameworks like TOGAF, DAMA, etc., and architecture Modelling tools like Draw-io, Visio, BizzDesign, Archi or SparxEA
